Why “landscape”?.... Our natural world is composed of potentially creative elements such as land, rocks, trees, water, clouds, sky, all recognised as universal images.
For an artist, imagine all the combinations from these alone, when the effects of weather and changing light are added the possibilities are endless!
If we think of painting as an opportunity for joy, then perhaps the development of a personal style and a visual vocabulary is one of its most joyous outcomes.
To record my view of the landscape and the world around me, using the magic of watercolour, in a way that other persons can relate to and continue to enjoy in their own particular way, is the ultimate reward for me
