From an early age I always enjoyed expressing my experiences through drawing. As I grew up in the “bush” I developed a love for the Australian landscape that will always influence my art. Working in print graphics and raising a family life was always busy, leaving little time to paint and develop my art. During this period however I continued to develop my ideas with personal study. Early painting skills were learned under John King and tonal oil painting studied with Max Casey. Now retired, at last I have more precious “spare time” to indulge and develop my passion for watercolours |

and the landscape. |

Classes and workshops with Ross Paterson, Robert Wade and especially Malcolm Beattie have played a major part in this wonderful, ongoing and often elusive journey to develop natural skills and allow me to record my view of the world around us. Since 2001 I have been an exhibitor at many local art shows and the winner of several awards including “best watercolour” EXHIBITION AWARDS SINCE 2001 U3A Ferntree Gully 2001 Art & Craft Show - Honourable Mention |
